LIQUID LATEX - MAKING TEXTURE SHEETS

Crafti-Latex is a natural latex liquid made in Malaysia.

This product has some serious craft usages. For example, Liquid latex makes very durable and stable brush on molds. It also works great on special effects make up aka zombie looks and horrid scars. Not only that, it replicates any texture or fine details so it makes great texture sheets.

PLUS you can even brush it on the underside of your house mats or house shoes for instant grip!

Today we gave Craft-Latex a little test on durability and flexibility.

Using a plastic textured sheet, we brushed on layer after layer of liquid latex using a normal painting brush. Each layer takes around 3 minutes to dry depending on the thickness. The more layers you apply, the thicker the finished product is. The brush can be washed with tap water and reused any time.
In this photo above we have the finished sheet. We can use this to make textures on clay or layer it at the bottom of soap or wax molds to have that all natural honeycomb look.
We gave the liquid latex sheet some tugs and pulls. It yields pretty well and bounces right back to its original form without any distortion.
We decided to get rough and abusive with the sheet for the skeptics out there. We really put the stretch to the test and the flexibility of this product was just amazing. Not a single tear or stretch mark on the sheet. The latex sheet just bounced right back into shape.

Imagine something like this working as your mold or direct on your skin. It's so durable and strong, nothing short of a pair or scissors could destroy it.
